Gladstone, Queensland - Community Program

In May Clear Solar delivered a series of solar power information sessions in Gladstone and Biloela. As a result, 68 kW of solar power generation capacity will be added to the local power supply. That’s enough to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 90 tonnes each year.

"Collectively, the owners of these systems will save somewhere in the range of $10,000 to $25,000 a year, depending on how much electricity they sell back to their power companies," said Tegan Mathews, Clear Solar’s Business Development Manager for the Gladstone area. "Financially, solar power makes sense and people should act quickly. There is speculation that the federal government could reduce incentives for solar power in the near future."

If you missed the information sessions and you would like to have solar made simple and clearly explained, can contact Tegan Mathews by email tegan.mathews@clearsolar.com.au or on 07 3149 1700 or 0430 074 232.

Mildura, Victoria - Community Program

Clear Solar held a public event in Mildura on the last weekend of June. Combining a detailed presentation with private consultations, the team offered efficient solar energy solutions to this growing country town.

Ballarat, Victoria - Community Program

On Saturday and Sunday May 29-30th Clear Solar held a Solar Seminar and Information Expo in Ballarat.

The seminar was an outstanding success. As installations are completed over coming weeks Ballarat’s solar power capacity will increase by 73 kW, and this is just the start.

Townsville, Queensland - Community Program

It was standing room only at our recent series of information sessions as Townsville residents embraced solar power in a big way. Local renewable energy generation will grow by a massive 100 kW in coming weeks and that’s just the start. It isn’t too late to join the Townsville solar revolution. Just call Erin Hincks on 0433 083 516 to find out how easy it is for you to save with solar, and keep your eye on our community programs page for future events.

Successful Solar Suburbs

By the time the federal government called an abrupt end to the Solar Homes & Communities Program on 9 June 2009, over 1,000 households had taken advantage of Clear's Solar Suburbs program to order solar power systems.

Clear Solar is now in the process of installing over 1 MW of clean, solar power generating capacity on rooftops in Brimbank, Hume, Melton, Moorabool, Moonee Valley and Wyndham. The program also involved the Western Region Environment Centre. More importantly, over 1,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide will be kept out of the atmosphere each year as a result of this program alone.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this program. You are making a real difference to Australia's move to a clean energy economy.

More to come!
