Monocrystalline Panels

Flat monocrystalline solar panels are the ideal solution for sloping roofs, and can also be installed on flat roofs. Greatest efficiency is achieved when panels are mounted at the appropriate angle for your latitude and facing north. High performance is still available with panels facing anywhere from north through to east or west.

Silicon solar technology has proven itself over many decades of use, and panels installed today can be expected to produce power for at least 40 years.

Solyndra Thin Film Cylindrical Panels

The flat or low angled roofs typical of large commercial buildings are ideal for Solyndra's innovative thin film solar panels.

Solyndra panels are quick and easy to install, and with no roof penetration the risk of introducing leaks to the roof is eliminated. Solyndra panels are also easy to move. If your business relocates simply pack up your solar power system and take it with you!

Solyndra's proprietary tubular design provides optimum presentation to the sun and generates more power per unit of roof area than conventional flat panels. Greater air flow keeps panels cooler, boosting their efficiency, and Solyndra panels take much greater advantage of the light reflected from the SkyCool membrane. With low wind resistance, strain on the roof in windy conditions is reduced.

The Solyndra tubular system allows more sunlight exposure for more hours of the day.

Better airflow allows greater cooling and reduces mounting requirements.

Inverters

The inverter converts the DC electricity produced by the solar panels to AC electricity suitable for use by most appliances, or supply to the grid. The choice of inverter will be determined by the initial size of your system, and any plans to increase the number of panels in the future.

To gain the benefit of feed-in tariffs and to measure the amount of electricity exported to the grid a bi-directional, digital electricity meter is required. Changeover of the electricity meter will be arranged with your supplier. Costs vary, and will be charged by the supplier.
